Mt. Scott Art Center was founded in 2003 by artist Julie Martin.
The Center’s purpose is to serve as a catalyst for artisitic involvement in the South East Portland area. Through community outreach projects, including sponsoring gallery exhibitions for local school children and community groups, as well as providing the community with a premium venue for alternative as well a more conventional media, the Center hopes to foster a better understanding of the arts.

The 8,000 square foot facility houses a gallery, offers framing and consultation services, and also offers artists studio spaces for lease.
